Dark & Gothic
If you've read my intro to the Fantasy gallery, you'll note that I love the boundless possibilities of the fantasy genre. But without any bounds, there will inevitably be a dark side. I tend to avoid many of these unpleasant possibilities (I hate bloody slasher movies, for example), but some of them I find interesting for one reason or another. Sometimes it's just echoes of my angsty teenage goth days, but sometimes it's because there's something emotionally or spiritually moving. There also is often, almost paradoxically, something hauntingly beautiful about the dark.
