I've loved all things fantasy since I was a kid, so it's no wonder a good chunk of my art falls in that category. There's just something about the possibilities involved in fantasy: worlds that don't actually exist, but should. I also love science fiction, but fantasy has always touched me deeper because, unlike sci-fi, fantasy isn't tethered to any current preconception of what's real or what's possible.
Being as much a left-brained person as a right-brained one, I do still need things to make sense within their own context, and fantasy essentially lets me have my cake and eat it, too--limitless possible worlds, and each world with its own rules for reality.
